A small plane crashed into Lake Victoria Sunday morning on its way to land at an airport in Tanzania, killing 19 people on board.
The plane, explains the commander of the regional police, William Mwampaghale, fell just 100 meters from reaching the airport. regional police commander William Mwampaghale told reporters earlier at Bukoba airport.
It is unclear whether the death toll includes rescuers who drowned in the lake or whether the aircraft had more people on board.
